My Exprience

Hello,

My mum was diagnosed with cancer 10 weeks ago. She passed away 2 days ago. The past 2 weeks were so distressing for us. My mum had terminally aditation and from her last breath she was holding on to us and asking me to help her . Has anyone else expreneced such a horrific way as I thought it was more peaceful . I had to fight my hardest to get her all the care she deserves And when she finally got it she lived for 2 weeks but still struggled to get her medication right.

thank you

  • Hello Beckyprecious and thanks for posting,

I am very sorry to learn about your mum and how distressing the last few weeks have been for everyone. I do hope you have plenty of support. I am sure the doctors and nurses involved in your mum's care would be happy to talk things over if you have any questions.

I am not sure if anyone will come along and post who has had a similar experience with their relative. But if you would like to talk to us about what happened please give us a call. Our number is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and we are here from 9-5, Monday to Friday.

It might be worth knowing about another charity Marie Curie who offer support to patients and their families around the end of life.

    Take care of yourself,

    Julia
