I weight 16st and I am scared of having an endoscopy

Hi 

I tried to have an endsocopy at the beggining of august this year and it wasn't very successful because I was allergic to fenytal.

Today my consultant called me and said that they are going to try the endoscopy again but this time with propofol which is a stronger drug,  I am concerned that I won't wake up from or have some kind of heart attack during it because I weigh 16stone and I am 5ft 4inches tall.

 

Please can you put my mind at ease.

    Hi 
     

    I went to see the consultant yesterday and he explained exactly what will happen on the day of the procedure and he showed me the ward where I will be for the day and he also showed me the endoscopy unit and that I will be visited by a anesthetist before the procedure and have a canuala put in and then get wheeled down to the endoscopy unit and then they start the propofol and he said the next thing I will know is that I will be waking up not knowing that I have had it done. 
     

    i am feeling better now about it but still a bit nervous about it
