I can appreciate the worry you have but even if the lump is hard and does not move this still does not mean she definitely has cancer. I am so sorry to say that no one here can tell you what could the lump could be or is the matter.  Except to say that most lumps and bumps will turn out not to be cancer.

Do be reassured that she is having scans and that this is being looked in to. Hopefully you both will not have to wait too long to have the ultrasound scan and then be given the results. I hope she will be okay.

Hello my daughter ended up having a x ray and ultra sound on her hard lump and the consultant advised it was due to an injury when she was younger, they think the bone is just slightly malformed due to trauma. I hope your  results come back ok xx

I am one of the nurses and I am sorry to hear you have found a lump on your collar bone that is worrying you. Most of the time things like this don't turn out to be anything too serious but do mention it to your doctor when you get the chance.

It isn't always helpful to compare stories to others as the outcome could be very different to your own. Likewise searching for answers online can lead to more worry and so it is always best to get things checked out by your own doctor, who are experienced at assessing this type of thing and can arrange more tests if needed.
