Lump on left side above collarbone.

I have been reading and I'm not sure if its something I should be looking into or not or just keep an eye on it. I have a lump just above my left collar bone. I've just recently 2 days ago had my Pfizer 2nd covid jab along with my flu jab and have just noticed this lump. Not sure if its something to do with that or something else. Just looking for some friendly advice as I don't want to panic.

Many thanks everyone.

  • There is another thread where a lot of people are mentioning the same. I found lump couple of days after flu jab, and i rang the hospital who gave me an appointment for examination with clinician. i'm hoping it will be nothing, but i just wanted to be sure. If you are worried it may be better to have it checked out (i defintely know i would be worried all the time if i didn't)

  • Thank you for replying. I will give it a week to see if it goes and if it doesn't I will speak to my doctor too. Let me know how you get on. I hope it is nothing for you too xxx

  • Hello and thanks for your post

It is very likely that having the Pfizer vaccine can cause a temporary immune response, that might cause lymph nodes to swell a little in some people, and this is normal.

Some people just have naturally reactive lymph nodes that come up and down in response to various things such as infection.

Probably the best thing to do is to keep an eye on it and if the lump doesn’t settle down within a couple of weeks, then do make an appointment with your GP to get checked out just to be on the safe side.

    Best wishes,
