Cervical cancer- am I being a hypochondriac?

For the past year I've had really weird kidney pains. Had scans and ultrasounds on my kidney and I have a small cyst but not big enough to cause issues. 
I have been back and forth to my doctors for a year now and finally got referred to have a transvaginal ultrasound. The nurse said my womb looks really healthy but when it came to my ovaries she was asking me to press on each side. She said that I had a lot of bloating around my ovaries and it was hurting when she was pressing. 
 

She said everything looked fine from a gynaecologist perspective in terms of my womb looking healthy and said I had no cysts etc. However she said she would send the results off to my doctor who will be in touch. 
 

Ive been googling which is obviously the worst thing to do and I'm worried about the bloating she mentioned? 
does it mean anything? 
I came off my period yesterday so wonder if this could have anything to do with it?
 

my symptoms are- back pain, needing to urinate often, pain sometimes during sex and after. 
my periods are regular if that info helps?

    Hi and thanks for the post

    I can imagine it's a stressful time not knowing what is behind your symptoms , but no one at this stage will be able to tell you.

    There may well be a number of explanations other than cancer for your symptoms ,including bloating, but it's best to wait for the report to come back. If anything of concern was found on an ultrasound then usually further tests would be advised . A referral to a gynaecologist also isn't unusual even if everything comes back clear , but you have continuing symptoms.

    You mention cervical cancer, but if you have regular smears, this would be unlikely and cervical cancer doesn't usually present in this way.

    Try and not overthink things at the moment and it may be best to avoid googling, as it really won't be able to diagnose you and can only raise your anxiety.

    Do discuss the report with your GP and ask what the next step forward may be.
