I've just had a mammogram, scan and biopsy taken then seen the consultant afterwards, he explained their findings and when I asked how likely it is breast cancer, his response was, a significant chance. The Macmillan nurse was there and I spoke with her and she thinks the consultant knows it's cancer. I have an appointment on Tuesday 11th to discuss a plan.
Given this, how likely is it that it's cancer. Is this common practice to be told straight away, if there's a chance it's not cancer, and is it usual for the Macmillan nurse to be there?
Sorry, lots of questions but it's almost as though I've pretty much been diagnosed with it.
Thank you Kimberley
