Lump under breast

Hi everyone, 

Just looking for a bit of advice... I think :( 

This morning I felt a lump under my right breast, it feels like it's about an inch long and Is painful when I press it. I'm so nervous that it could be something really bad. As it's Sunday I'm having to wait till morning to call the doctors. I'm just so nervous that it's in my head or worse that it's cancer :(

    Most breast problems are not due to cancer. For example, breast cysts, and breast abscess (infections in the tissue), can be painful. Antibiotics are used to treat breast infections. 

    So try to not over worry, but do make an appointment with your GP so they can assess you, and advise you.
