Lump found in groin to start of labia area

Hi

6 weeks ago I found a lump on my left side of groin at the start of labia area. I only heckled because my knickers in leg area were irritating me.  I have been feeling really tired over last few months due to struggles with hip pain and back, plus these weird attacks so painful like kidney stones. Sadly because of this I haven't mentioned lump to the doctor, because I feel like I'm looked at as a hypochondriac.  Last week after an attack which lasted 6hrs and ambulance didn't turn up, I gave up.
My husband says to speak to doctor but am I worrying about nothing?  It's about size of a large pea, painless but irritating , static and hard.  It's definitely not a hernia.   Any advice please

getting drs appt is dire and 9/10 times it's over phone.

  • Hello and thank you for your post

Finding lumps can be worrying , even though the majority of lumps do not turn out to be cancerous. However, no one here on the forum will be able to say what this might be, as there are many different causes.

I appreciate it can be difficult seeing a doctor, and you may be reluctant to go back to them if you have been a few times recently , but it's important that if you have found something that is new or different ,that you talk it over with the GP. They will be able to invite you in to be examined once you have talked through your symptoms with them.

So please don't feel you can't ring them up - it's important that you can go through your symptoms with someone.

    All the best
