HPV Positive and borderline changes

Wow it's crazy to see everyone feeling EXACTLY the same way. It definitely puts my mind at ease. I have a colposcopy on Tuesday but the thing that worries me is that I got an appointment straight away, maybe they just aren't busy and I'm overthinking it. I've been so sad and anxious and convincing myself I have cervical cancer. I've also been googling way too much.

I've had an increasingly bad lower back pain for some time now and it freaked me out to hear that was a symptom.

I'm sure everything will be fine but yes, very scary

Sending love to all xo

  • Hello jamie2022 and thanks for posting,

I am sorry we didn't get back to you sooner, but I hope that the colposcopy today went ok and you are feeling a bit better about it all.

I don't think you need to read anything into being seen straightaway, the clinics know abnormal screening results cause a lot of anxiety so they try and see people as soon as possible.

Remember cervical screening is all about prevention. The chances are this back pain is unrelated but get your GP's input about it.

Any type of abnormal test result reminds us that health is a precious thing - so yes it is scary, but hopefully you will be able to put this all behind you soon.

If you want to talk anything over, call us on 0808 800 4040, we are around weekdays, 9-5.

    All the best,

    Julia
