I’m still worried

have a lump on my chest, little lower than my collar bone.

it feels boney, I've had a chest X-ray, blood tests and an ultrasound which all came back clear. Is one of those likely to pick up a tumor? As the lump/mass is protruding from my chest.

the consultant did say my GP should have referred me for a CT scan but to attend my GP if I had any pain. Now sometimes there is a full ache but I'm not sure if it's just my imagination.

  • Hello and thanks for the post

It sounds like you have had a number of investigations into your lump . If there had been anything found on the ultrasound giving any cause for concern, you would have been referred for further tests.

If you are worried about any possible ache or pain, you can always have a chat with the GP about it , saying that the consultant told you to get checked out with the GP if there was pain. You can also ask them to go over the ultrasound report as they may have said what the lump was - knowing what it is may be easier coping with the lump and not worrying about it as much.

    All the best
