Purple like spot underneath armpit

So for 5 weeks I've noticed I've had a purple like mark underneath my armpit more near my arm. I've been worrying myself sick and just want some advice. This isn't raised like a spot and doesn't have a lump underneath it isn't causing me pain or is any bit painful it did have a white centre but now that seems to have gone. Any ideas of what this could be?

    I am sorry to hear that you have been worried about the mark under your armpit.

    We are unable to diagnose anyone but if it is causing you concern then do get it checked out by your GP. It maybe something straight forward like a bruise which is a purplish discolouration of the skin produced by small bleeding vessels near the surface. These are harmless. If it does not appear to be going away then do make an appointment with your GP even if it is for your own peace of mind.
