I am sorry to hear about your situation. I can understand how unsettling it must be for you.

I am not sure why you have been called in so quickly to see the gynaecologist but there maybe some more tests that they need to do to establish the cause of your bleeds.

GP's have guidelines about when to refer women for further investigations including a referral to a specialist. Without being involved in your care it is difficult for me to know why you have been referred so quickly. A two week referral is usually done when cancer is suspected but it does not mean that you will have cancer. Most two week referrals are not diagnosed with cancer.
