I've never posted in a forum before but I'm really frightened. I noticed some significant changes to my right breast and went to doctor on September 3rd. He then discovered a lump and told me that I would definitely be seen within 28 days. That time is almost up now and I've not heard anything. After contacting my doctor again I was given the number to ring the breast clinic. Before I did this l looked up the govt waiting times for my problem in Rhondda Cynon taff and it said I should be seen within two weeks. These regulations were published in June 2020 so at the height of the pandemic so you have to assume they are correct. When I phoned the clinic I was told I would have at lease another 5 weeks to wait. I asked could it be any sooner as I'm really freaking out and quoted what the regulations state about waiting times. I was then told they can't work to regulations because of Covid and they would contact me probably sometime after end of October. She also confirmed that they had received my referral the same day I saw my gap on sept 3rd. I feel like I'm in some kind of lottery with an appointment as the prize and with Covid getting worse I will be the looser. Has any one else experienced this please
