I'm afraid we are unable to diagnose anyone or tell them what the matter may be. We always advise people to speak to their GP about any new or persistent symptoms and get it checked out just to be on the safe side. Doctors are trained to assess people’s symptoms to help them to work out what might be wrong, and if needed, can arrange tests to give more information.

The majority of the time there are usually straightforward medical explanations for symptoms and most won't be anything as serious as cancer. So, try if you can and not overly worry.

Because of the current pandemic it’s more likely you will be offered a telephone appointment initially with your doctor. After the consultation, if they feel they need to see you, they can offer you a face to face appointment.
