GP invited me to Macmillan Coffee, why me?

hi,

I saw my GP two months ago for a lump on testicle and referred me to Ultrasound which should has been on the 2nd of September but unfortunately i could not make it so I rebooked it and I have to wait another  six weeks from the date of the first appointment.

I still can feel the lump and I also noticed my left testicle is hard.

Anyway, today I received a message from my GP to invite me to Macmillan Coffee to meet the the practice team to discuss my views.

I have never been invited to such event before and I do not know why I am invited to it.

Is my GP suspecting TC when he referred me to the Ultrasound so that is why I am invited to that Morning Coffee?

or anyone really can be invited?

I am cool and not frightened by whatever I may have but I am so curious ‍

    I don't think that you can read anything in to the fact that you were invited to a Macmillan coffee morning by your GP.

    Any appointment with your GP is confidential and by inviting you for a coffee morning does not mean that she thinks that you definitely have cancer. Macmillan coffee mornings are for everyone to try and raise money to support people with cancer.

    If your GP wanted you to be seen urgently she would have suggested an ultrasound under the two week wait which you can read about here

    There can be many different causes for testicular lumps and most won't be anything as serious as cancer. Have a look at what the NHS has to say about these lumps here

    I hope that your appointment goes well and that if you do go to the coffee morning that you are able to enjoy it.
