Hi 

I am a 52 year old female who noticed a very strange mole on my stomach a few days ago, it seems like it occurred over night. I'm Swedish and fair, I have done a lot of travelling in the past and not always been great with sun protection. I rang my GP 4 days ago, the same day as I noticed it, and I got an appointment the same day. He had a look and didn't like what he saw, naturally I'm very worried.

I have Ben referred to a dermatologist/hospital and I'm now waiting to find out when that will be.

I'm amazed, but the mole seems to change daily , the edges are dark and irregular, the middle varies in colour and thickness during the day.

Has anyone else experienced this please?

    You have asked if anyone has experience of what you are going through with mole changes, but anyone on the forum is going to have experiences that are individual to them.

    You have noticed a change and been referred to a dermatologist, so now it is a matter of waiting for the appointment to come through. This waiting can be so difficult as our minds can race, and unfortunately the internet can cause unnecessary worry, as it isn't a Doctor who can diagnose.

    Take care, and try if you can to keep yourself distracted so that time will pass and hopefully you will soon get seen.
