There can be many reasons for stomach cramps such as trapped wind, indigestion, or constipation. It is not usually a symptom of advanced oesophageal cancer but people can be unique in the symptoms they experience.

Probably the best thing for your mother to do is to speak to her GP about this. They can assess her if needed and prescribe some medication to help with the stomach cramps.

My husband has oesophagus cancer and has a stent he suffers with stomach cramps and was advised to take buscapan by his consultant. Hope this helps.
