Hi everyone,
I just wondered if anyone can clarify for me. I went to see the gp on Monday last week who referred me to the breast clinic where I attended yesterday. The lump I had originally found they think is fine and a cyst. However they found something else whilst scanning me. The lady performing the ultrasound said it was a swollen lymph node but when speaking to the doctor later they said they weren't sure what it is yet. They did a biopsy and I'm booked in to get the results tomorrow although I've been warned this appointment may be cancelled and rearranged for next week if the results aren't back from the lab before their meeting to discuss results.
Anyway my question is my doctor told me it was a level 3 I don't know if this commonly used scale however when I've looked it up I think she was referring to the BI-RADS risk assessment tool but everything seems to say they don't do biopsies unless it is rated a level 4 on the BI-RADS which level 4 is more concerning. Also I wondered if anyone else can relate to my story so far and would be happy to share your outcomes.
thank you all in advance,
