My mother of 80 was diagnosed with vaginal atrophy in June after a course of antibiotics, she had severe stabbing pain in her vagina.. we saw a Private gynae who examined her and this was his diagnosis...her Dr had already requested bloods before she attended her gynae appt , which we were told her ca125 level was high and she neede a fast track scan...this was done a week ago, we have received no call from the Drs, I have just rang and the receptionist has said a routine appt is to be made..nothing face to face over phone at the moment..there were no GPs on site to speak with me . My mum is very fragile and depressed awaiting these results... do I see this is a positive result that its classed as ' routine 'or are the surgeries in such a mess with covid that the result is going to be given over the phone on the appt call on Friday ? I feel so anxious and helpless for mum..she needs a boost ..I have authority to speak on her behalf so will be taking the call on Friday ... has anyone else had a similar experience ? Many thanks
