Several lumps in groin, neck, chin For 10+ years

I had these lumps across my body for years and years went to GP and she said it's nothing to worry about if I've had them that long, despite the fact they felt immovable and hard.
Has anyone else had the problem and is that normal?

  • Hello and thank you for posting

It's good that you went to the GP to get the lumps looked at.

It sounds that if you have had the lumps for this length of time, it would be very unusual for there to be no other symptoms by now if there was anything sinister about them.

As you are still worried though, it might be helpful to have another word with the GP so they can tell you what they think it might be and why they are not concerned.

Although people may get back to you, do bear in mind that it's not really possible to compare, as everyone will be very different, with different explanations for their lumps.

    All the best

    Wanda

  • Thanks Wanda,

I only ever get a slight shortness in breath but nothing else In the symptoms really however I will go back and get a second opinion and a blood test.

Also what kind of how weak is meant by weakness in the symptoms list?

  • Hello and thank you for getting back to us.

It's good to know that you will go back to talk with your GP about your symptoms and hopefully nothing serious will be the matter.

The reference to weakness means if someone feels less strong or feels less able to carry out daily activities. How weak someone feels will be different for each person and of course may not be caused by anything serious.

I hope you will be okay.

    Take care

    Caroline

  • Hi Caroline,

I went to gp and as she said as my lumps  have been there so long that nothing is wrong and I really don't experience any symptoms, also they are pea sized which is normal to feel especially when your skinny like me.
thanks for the concern, may just get them checked once for for peace of mind.
