Noticed a dent in my right breast back last year just thought gravity is kicking in now I'm knocking 60  recently noticed a lump just above said dent. Been to gp refferal sent but apparently I probably won't be seen till end of Oct. How do I try not to worry.

    I can appreciate this is making you anxious and it may be best to make another appointment with the GP to discuss this further - it may be worth checking that the referral was an urgent one

    Guidelines do say that someone in your age group with a breast lump should be referred to the breast clinic under the 2 week rule, although with the pandemic and the backlog that has been created, some hospitals are not able to see people within this time limit.

    So do give them a call to go over the wait with the GP and see what they say.

    Thankyou for your reply.

    I rang the gp they said the refferal was sent as urgent but unfortunately due to the backlog I definitely won't be seen in clic until end of October. So fingers crossed.
