It sounds like you're all going through a very stressful time at the moment and waiting for results of tests and biopsies is hard.

Although the echo won't change the biopsy result, it's possible it may have an impact on the next step forward and that's why they may be waiting for this result.

I think you will just have to wait for the next few days - I can't see that you would need to wait much longer, unless they decide to have a MDT (Multidisciplinary meeting made up of different health professionals) which would not be unusual -  having a group discussion about each person's case.
