Well many years ago I developed red lumps going down the fronts of both legs.  I was feeling.pretty unwell..  Night sweats, stiffness in my joints nausea.  Generally feeling bad.  I was told eventually I had Sarcoidosis.  There was nothing to see on my chest, but my lungs had benign growths on them.  I don't expect that is the problem for your brother but there are some strange conditions out there!  The lumps were called erethyma.nodosum.

I am sorry to hear your brother has some lumps that are worrying him. Unfortunately no one on the forum can say what the matter may be so I suggest he gets back in touch with his doctor so they can assess him.

Symptoms including lumps and bumps can be caused by lots of different things but most of the time will be harmless. However it is always best if they don't settle to get them looked at just to be sure.

I hope your brother has some answers soon.
