Too shrink it a bit even before bioosys cone back he's in agony he was born with the diverticulum

  • Hello there and thank you for getting in touch

I am sorry to hear about your son and appreciate this must be such a difficult and worrying time for you watching your son suffer in this way.

I can understand you being desperate for him to be able to have some type of treatment as soon as possible but until the biopsy results are back there is little else the doctors can do but to try and get on top of the pain.

Unfortunately there isn't just one type of chemotherapy to treat all cancers so until the doctor know exactly the type of cancer they are dealing with they won't be able to treat him properly.

I am sure the team looking after your son are trying their best to do all they can and to try and speed up the results but things do take time even in urgent cases I'm afraid to say. Hopefully they will know more soon and can then sit down to discuss what needs to happen next.

Do keep talking to the doctors and nurses and let them know if your son's symptoms are changing so they can support him in any way they can.

Do get back if you have further questions, you are also welcome to call our nurse helpline on 0808 800 4040 if you would prefer to talk things through over the phone, we're here mon-fri 9-5.

All the best to you both

    Naomi
