I am sorry to hear you have needed to have several surgeries to try and get a clear margin.

As you say there doesn't seem to be clear guidance on margin sizes and surgeons will want different margins depending on the size, type and extent of a persons cancer. More generally though it seems a minimum of 1mm clear margin can be ok in some situations.

Do talk through any worries or concerns you have with your team and see what they have to say but hopefully you will have some good news soon.
