Lymphoma

My partner has been diagnosed with lymphoma, from his xray/ct scan they can see a lump next to his heart and a mass across his chest, he has raise lymph nodes in more then 1 place. They are doing a biopsy tomorrow and im worried it is cancerous. They said it could be benign.

  • Hi again

There are many reasons for a low vitamin b12,  and if you had had a lymphoma for so many years, there would certainly have been other symptoms by now. An ultrasound and x ray would also have picked up any problem areas and as Julia has said, the bloods are part of a bigger picture.

So if your doctors are not worried, and it does seem like you have been investigated, you will perhaps need to try trusting them and not dwelling so much possibly on the thought of having lymphoma - it must also be very hard for you, being so anxious about this.

I'm afraid that your questions are ones that, as we are not involved in your care, and not being able to diagnose here on the forum, are difficult to answer and as we have tried to say, your GP really should be the one to talk to about your concerns.

I do hope things start to settle down for you

    All the best to you

    Wanda
