Hi nurses,
I'm so sorry to bother, but I spoke to my doc this morning and I'm a little confused...
I had a blood test last week due to having a lump on my neck that's been there for a few months (hard/rubbery, no pain), and them wanting to double check things. He called me this morning to confirm the results were 'borderline' and I have to have another test in 3-4 weeks so they have something to compare it with, though he didn't seem very worried which is great.
My question is: the result was .85 when he said they would it expect it to be 1 - I know he said it was related to the white cells but used another term for it, and I he said it so quickly I didn't have a chance to write it down. Would you have any idea what marker/thing this would have been? It looks like the standard white count would be a much higher number.
Many thanks in advance.
