I'm sorry to hear you're worried about your breast symptoms, and I understand why you'd like more information.

Unfortunately, as nurses, we can't comment on your current breast symptoms. Do make an appointment and tell your GP your full history of when symptoms started, as they are there to help. Most of the time, there is a simple explanation for symptoms, but getting them checked can help put your mind at rest. Nipple discharge is usually related to hormone fluctuations/changes, or an infection in the breast ducts behind the nipple. The GP will assess you and may treat you with antibiotics, or suggest a referral to the hospital breast unit to get seen by a specialist.
