  • Hello and thanks for posting

I’m sorry to read about your brother’s situation and appreciate this must be a difficult time for the whole family.

It’s good that your brother has responded well to his chemotherapy, and his doctors feel he may now benefit from immunotherapy. This treatment works by helping the body's immune system find and attack cancer cells.

Some people get a very good response, and the cancer can stay under control for a long time. However, when the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes and surgery has not been offered, it is usually not possible to cure it. Immunotherapy is usually given in this situation to control the cancer, slow it down, and help some people live longer.

I hope this has been of some use. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
