I was referred on a two week wait about two and a half weeks ago for suspected endometrial cancer after post menopausal bleeding (with a history of tamoxifen use), it was accepted as a 2ww referral and I have now had a TVUSS and on another day a hysteroscopy. The hysteroscopy showed a very large polyp which apparently needs to be removed under general anaesthetic. My nhs app now shows that I am on a gynae waiting list and says the average wait is 16 weeks. I have not been told I have been taken off the cancer pathway - does this mean it’s likely that the procedure will actually happen much sooner because it still falls under the 28 day faster diagnosis standard or will I really have to wait 16 weeks?
thank you
