  • Hello and thanks for posting

I am sorry to read about your situation and appreciate you have questions about supplements.

We always advise people to check with their own specialist doctor before taking any vitamins or supplements. While some may be safe to use, most health supplements don't go through the same testing as other medications and may interact with cancer treatments.

We have information on vitamins and diet supplements on our website.

There is information about most herbs and supplements on The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre website that lists interactions and safety advice that may also be worth taking a look at.

Again, do speak with your breast care team to check before taking anything.

We have some information on our website on how to manage menopausal symptoms that you may find useful.

I hope this is of some help. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
