I have had two surgeries and have appointment on Thursday about Radiotherapy which will be over 5 days. I have a wedding to attend in three weeks. I’d like to delay the radiotherapy until after that. Is that OK?
A delay of a few weeks before starting radiotherapy may be ok, but it depends on your specific cancer and treatment plan.
At your appointment on Thursday, tell the radiotherapy team that you have an important wedding in three weeks and ask whether it would be safe to start treatment afterwards. .They will know the recommended timeframe for your particular situation and can tell you whether waiting until after the wedding would still be considered safe.
