I am sorry to hear about your mums situation and the symptoms she is experiencing. As your mum is struggling and is in pain it sounds like she could do with a doctors assessment to work out the best way forward.

The doctor can examine and assess her symptoms and adjust and prescribe medications to best manage these and make sure she is kept more comfortable.

Do arrange an appointment with your mums doctor when you can but in the mean time there is more information about your mouth and cancer drugs on our website. This goes through the issues that can arrive due to the side effects of certain cancer treatments or medications including sores and ulcers, dry mouth or possible infections. This can be very uncomfortable or painful, put people off eating and drinking and generally affect a persons quality of life.
