March 2025 found left groin swelling. Given all clear in Oct as calcified lymph node.

March 2026 lumps right side neck. Have been monitored since with ultra sounds/bloods. Also found to have enlarged nodes in shoulders armpit, all have been slowly increasing in size.

No B symptoms at all. Bloods consistently clear. Had pet scan three weeks ago tomorrow which lit up and was told during a phonecall two weeks today that I would be having an urgent biopsy from groin area that was to be scheduled for last week.

I have a follow up appointment booked for 30th Sept, but still no biopsy appointment which is concerning me as I'm worried results won't be back in time for the 30th Sept.

Surely I'm running out of time for biopsy if results are to be discussed on the 30th?

I hope all this makes sense.

Is there anything I should do?

  • Hi Demanda and thank you for your post.

I am sorry to read about your situation. I appreciate this must be a difficult time for you.

Although it is reassuring that you do not have any B symptoms and that your blood tests have been normal.

It is never easy waiting for scan, biopsies, and the results.

If you are concerned about waiting too long for your biopsy, you can reach out to your hospital specialist through their secretary.

They may be able to check on your appointment and let you know what is happening.
