Growing blue / black lump

Hi,

I noticed at the end of June that a lump on my right side above my hip felt like it was protruding more.  I asked my partner to check it and he thought it was blister. He mentioned it had looked like a bruise for a while but had now started growing. He tried to cut it and it didn't do anything. At the beginning of July a saw a GP at my surgery who said it looked like a blood blister and to keep measuring it. She rushed and didn't take a lot of information, said she would contact dermatology for advice but it looks like they didn't reply. At this point the lump was 7x5 mm and was blue / black.

Roll onto august, I noticed the lump getting a little sore and it was still growing. In about 2 months it has grown by about 1.8mm in length and width so it's now 9.12 x 6.88mm and its more black than blue now. I got booked for appointment which was a 2 week wait and saw a locum. She asked it if was hot, if I'd been unwel etc. I told id been under the weather for about 3 weeks and she said I had a fever. She told me it was a blister and to go to a&e if I was concerned and that was it. She didn't ask about the size, history, anything. I tried to tell her but I was getting so fed up of being ignored I just wanted to leave. Everything I have seen on Google says a blood blister that's been growing for 4 months ain't normal. I don't want to go to a&e, but I know this ain't right and I feel like I've just been ignored.

I don't have skin cancer in the family but there's a lot of other cancers in grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. So it worries me. And I just don't know what to do, I can't afford to book a private appointment to see a different GP. I go to the GP for so many other issues it feels like they see my a hypochondriac or something.
