Sorry mucus

Ive just finished my chemo and radio for oral cancer but im having a terrible problem with mucus has anyone got amy tips please

  • Hello and thank you for posting. I am sorry that you are having this problem with excess saliva/mucus. This is can happen after this type of treatment.

    Do speak to your hospital team and specialist nurse if you have one as they may be able to help support side affects you are getting.

    There are some medications that can be prescribed at this time to thicken up the mucus to make it more manageable. Also sometimes salt water mouthwashes can help.
