Hello and thank you for posting. I am sorry that you are having this problem with excess saliva/mucus. This is can happen after this type of treatment.
Do speak to your hospital team and specialist nurse if you have one as they may be able to help support side affects you are getting.
There are some medications that can be prescribed at this time to thicken up the mucus to make it more manageable. Also sometimes salt water mouthwashes can help.
There are a couple of head and neck charities that may also be useful. The first organisation is called The Swallows while The Oracle Head and Neck Cancer UK has some helpful information as well.
You could also post in our 'living with cancer' topic area. You may get some responses from other forum users who can share their experiences with you.
