I can understand that you would want to prepare yourself for the treatment. I am presuming that you are asking about having chemotherapy treatments inside the bladder (intravesical chemotherapy).

Side effects can build up gradually over the courses of treatment. So it is important to report them to your hospital team so they can help you manage them.

Common side effects experienced can include, bladder irritation, that can feel like cystitis. So feeling like passing urine more often, with urgency. There can be some burning sensation as well.

Small amounts of blood may be passed in the urine. You may get a rash on your hands or feet for a short time after having this treatment. Some skin rashes may get red, sore and swollen. Some people get severe itching. Contact your doctor if you get any of these symptoms.
