I am sorry to hear that both of your parents have been affected by pancreatic cancer.

There is a trial called the Europac trial and it is looking at people who had a strong family history of pancreatic cancer. It is currently closed but they may be looking at opening it again in the autumn. You could contact the study directly to see when this is likely to be. You can see the information for Europac trial here.

If the trial is open they will ask you to complete some forms which include any family history of pancreatic cancer and the age that they were diagnosed to confirm your eligibility.

If the Europac trial does not look like it is opening soon you could discuss screening with your GP where they may suggest referring you for genetic testing for cancer risk. The majority of cancers are not inherited so try not to let it worry you too much

It might be a good idea to let your siblings know if you are planning to do this.
