Hi there and thanks for posting
I am sorry to hear your doctor suspects vaginal cancer. It will only be after further tests have been done that this can be diagnosed.
I assume your GP has referred you to a hospital specialists such as a gynaecologist who will decide on which tests you need to have done. Generally this will involve an examination. A colposcopy may carried out to observe the cervix and vagina more closely and to be able to obtain biopsies ( tissue) samples that can be sent to the lab for testing.
Other tests such as bloods and scan may also be arranged for you depending on the doctors assessment of what may be going on. There is more information on the webpages tests for vaginal cancer which may be useful to read.
I hope you are seen and know more very soon.
Please get back if you have more questions or if you prefer give us a call on 0808 800 4040, we're here weekdays 9-5.
Best wishes
