I have been put on the 2 week gynae cancer pathway, I had a CT scan which identified my left ovary as being "bulky", I had an ultrasound both on the belly and transvaginal and they scan guy said it was really difficult to see what it wsa and that it was just showing a large dark area for my left ovary - he said he suspected I would be referred for CA125 bloods and MRI. I saw my gynae consultant and that's what he arranged. The bloods came back OK and i'm now waiting for results from MRI.
History: I'm 47, I had subtotal hysterectomy 10 years ago. Recently had painful sex and a big bleed during sex and carried on spotting for a few days, have had a couple of other instances of spotting (not sex related), bloated tummy and the last 4 days bloating and really painful tummy cramps. Not sure whether to speak to anyone about the pain i'm getting at the moment or wait until I get my consultant appt which should be within 2 weeks I think as MRI was yesterday.
Can this still be ovarian cancer if the CA125 is normal? I've obviously googled but trying not to do this as I know not all info is correct.
I keep telling msyelf it's not and maybe just a cyst and then I have a real wobble about it.
Thanks x
