I am sorry to learn that you have been given a prostate cancer diagnosis.

I appreciate that this sounds like a difficult and frightening time for you.

I can understand why the quick turnaround has made you wonder if it means something worrying, however, a fast MRI report does not automatically mean there is bad news. The speed of the report alone cannot tell you whether the MRI has shown anything concerning.

Many hospitals now aim to report urgent cancer scans as quickly as possible.  

Scans done late Friday are often queued specifically for first-thing Monday to be reviewed. In fact, many hospitals now provide fast-track prostate and breast clinics. This allows people to have their scans and tests and get their results all on the same day.

It sounds like you are being looked after by an organised urology team. When cancer is diagnosed, treatment should normally begin within 30 days. Your team seem to be working hard to keep to the cancer treatment time targets.
