Could you confirm that Libtayo has now been authorised for general use on the NHS for reccurrent cervical cancer and can be given irrespective of PDL1 expression ?
Libtayo (cemiplimab) has now been recommended by the The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for routine NHS use in adults with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer that has worsened during or after platinum-based chemotherapy, provided they have not previously received immunotherapy. NICE published its final guidance this month and you can read more about this onthe NICE website.
In the eligibility criteria above NICE does not mention PD‑L1 positivity as a requirement.
After NICE recommends any new drug for routine NHS use, it can take a few months before it is widely available on the NHS. If your doctor is recommending you to have
Llbtayo (cemiplimab),and if it's not available yet in your local NHS trust, you may be able to access this via the Cancer Drugs Fund. Your specialist team can advise you further on this.
