An atypical complex breast papilloma is a non-cancerous growth in one of the milk ducts of the breast.
The word "atypical" means that some of the cells look different from normal cells under a microscope.
Papilloma is not a cancer and is very unlikely to develop into a cancer.
Unfortunately, papillomas have not been studied enough for us to know the exact chance of one developing into cancer, but your specialist can explain what your results mean for you.
