Hi there and thanks for the post
I am sorry to hear you aren't sleeping very well since starting sunitinib. I appreciate how this can affect peoples everyday life.
Unfortunately this can be a side effect of sunitinib alongside of things, do let your team know so they can also support you through this time. They should also be taking regular blood tests to check your thyroid function which can also be affected and impact sleep.
Taking the sunitinib the same time of day is important ( for some this is best taken just before bed and others first thing in the morning). Try if you to carry out good bedtime hygiene. This often involves things such as going to bed the same time every night and having a gradual relaxing wind down by minimising screen time. Sleeping in a comfortable, cool, dark room.
There is more information and suggestions about sleeping better on the NHS website.
I hope you are able to find a solution soon and manage some good sleep.
Do get back if you have further questions or if you prefer give us a call on 0808 800 4040, we're here weekdays 9-5.
Best wishes
Naomi
