  • Hi Moramore,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

I am sorry to hear that you are worried about sometimes having a little blood in your poo. There could be several different reasons for this and they don't always relate to cancer. Have you discussed this with your mum? Please see your GP to get this checked out. It would be unusual to have cancer at your age, but sadly, not impossible. You are just as well to get it checked out, as if it does turn out to be cancer, the sooner it is treated the more effective it will be.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you/

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hello and thanks for posting

It can be a worry to see some blood n the toilet after having a poo but there can be many reasons for this and most will be harmless.

At your age any cancer would be extremely rare and is most likely because you have strained to pass the stool causing a little tear which can then bleed.

Try to make sure you are eating plenty of fibre and drinking enough water to prevent constipation and straining.

If the bleeding continues or you remain worried do speak to a parent or trusted adult about this and if needed they can arrange a doctors appointment so you can be assessed properly. You can ask to see a female GP if one is available.

    I hope things improve soon.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
