Hi there squiggly and thanks for posting
I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, this must be a difficult time for you.
A cancer diagnosis often causes a range of different emotions for both the patient and the people around them and sometimes people need time to process what is going on.
I don't know if your partner has had a previous experience of a loved one with cancer or if there is another trigger than may be affecting your relationship. If you can try and find a time to sit down together to talk things through this may help get things out in the open. If you can be open and honest in the way you are feeling he may also open up to you in the same way.
Failing that is there another family member or friend your partner is close to that can have a word with him to find out how he is dealing with this news at the moment.
If your partner hasn't attended any appointments with you it may be useful to invite him along so he can get a greater understanding of the situation and what needs to happen next.
From what you have said the cancer has been caught at an early and successfully treatable stage, which is positive and hopefully he is also aware of this.
I hope you can work through this together and wish you all the best.
