  • Hello Duchess and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about your situation.

It is difficult to be able to comment on your situation without being involved. I can understand that it must be confusing when one department has been much quicker to respond then the other. There could be a number of reasons why this has happened but as I am not involved it is difficult for me to say more.

It may help to get in touch with the colorectal secretaries to see if you can find out when you are likely to be seen. You could also contact PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) and ask them to look in to it for you.

You could also make an appointment with your GP and discuss your concerns. The hospital may well have informed your GP about any future plans about your care. They may also be able to look in to it for you if they think it may be necessary.

If you want to chat to one of the helpline nurses you are welcome to give us a call. The number to ring is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

    All the best,

    Catherine
