Worried

I have just been diagnosed with squamous cell cancer in a polyps in my anus . This came as a shock as three other polyps that were removed in my first colonoscopy March this year were benign and after the  second colonoscopy which removed the lower polyps the doctor said it didn’t look suspicious at all . I was called on Wednesday and by Thursday had received a phone call from a colorectal consultant, a meeting with the doctor who removed the last polyps and two scans, ct and mri . I am waiting for an appointment to have a pet scan . 
my head is reeling as I really didn’t expect this , I have no symptoms and am currently recovering from a gall bladder removal as had a 3 cm stone that was causing pain , done so I would be in the  best health to care for my partner who has stomach cancer and will soon be undergoing a total gastroectomy and further chemo . 
I don’t know how we are going to cope if I am receiving treatment while he is recovering from such a huge operation and more chemo . 
I do still have some pain in my right side and am hoping this is just post surgical recovery. 
I feel a bit defeated
