Query about survival rates for Non Hodgkin Lymphoma

What are the suvirial rates for NHL which has been in remission for 5 years

  • Hi there and thanks for the post

Whilst there are survival statistics for every cancer it is difficult to put any one particular patient into these as they are very general. However you can look at the survival for non hodgkin lymphoma page on the website that given survival rates for all NHL based on 1,5 and 10 year survival rates.

Usually the further a patient goes on in remission the less likely it is to relapse but of course for some people the cancer can sometimes still re surface many years down the line.

Getting to 5 years with no relapse is considered a positive sign but as I say no one can predict the future i'm afraid. It is therefore important to be aware of your body and get any changes or concerns checked out, just to be on the safe side.

I hope this is helpful to you. Do get back if you need to or if you prefer give us a call on 0808 800 4040 we're here weekdays 9-5.

    Best wishes

    Naomi
